It is also worth noting that while this was a debut cover of the song, it wasn't Umphrey's first time covering Sturgill Simpson. While technically, perhaps better categorized as more of a "nod". On 10/21/16 at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, PA, the band played ua semi irregular cover of the Nirvana song "In Bloom", but rather then their usual Nirvans take, they opted for a take on the song "in the style of  Sturgill Simpson'". Pro-Shot Video: Phish - 10/19/2016 - "Harry Hood" Nashville,TN

"Harry Hood" from Phish's 10/19/2016 show at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, TN. Download the entire show now or stream via LivePhish+ at"The quartet delivered a phenomenal take on one of their earliest tunes full of turn-on-a-dime shifts that recalled the days of 1993 and 1994. It was unlike any other “Hood,” which is a characteristic fans yearn for from old warhorses. After “Hood” had already reached top tier status the band stopped in their tracks for a rest of a few beats in which some audience members yelled “woo.” When Phish kicked back into the song they took a quick run at its climax, but not before adding one more breakdown and opportunity for fans to “woo.” -- Scott Bernstein via Jambase

Audio And Video From Legendary 2007 Concert To Be Available In Multiple Configurations On November 19

Concert Slated For Global Theatrical Release On October 17 (Los Angeles, Sept. 13, 2012) – On December 10, 2007,  Led Zeppelin took the stage at London’s O2 Arena to headline a tribute concert for dear friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. What followed was a two-hour-plus tour de force of the band’s signature blues-infused rock ’n’ roll that instantly became part of the legend of Led Zeppelin. Founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, to perform 16 songs from their celebrated catalog including landmark tracks “Whole Lotta Love,” “Rock And Roll,” “Kashmir,” and “Stairway To Heaven.” Although 20 million people applied for tickets, the band’s first headline show in 27 years was seen only by the 18,000 ticket holders who were fortunate enough to have sec…

This five-man band—formed in 2006 at Nashville’s Belmont University—treats preserving “breathing space” in their music like an art form. While they were in the studio recording their latest album, Caberet (which features a guest appearance from Matisyahu) the band says they aimed for the minimalism of bands like Radiohead. “Gunflower” hits that “less-is-more” nail right on the head, where a heart-wrenching chorus adds emotional weight to the song’s simple structure.

Fifth on the Floor - Distant Memory Lane (Official Video)

The Lexington, KY based band Fifth on the Floor,
publicly invited fans, via the band's twitter feed (@FifthontheFloor), to head over to YouTube and view the new official music video for song,"Distant Memory Lane", from the album "Dark and Bloody Ground."

The video, directed by Blake Judd, edited by Jacob Ennis, and produced by JuddFilms and Tuckywood Productions, was filmed at various sites in and near Lexington, Kentucky, including The Green Lantern. is definitely worth a viewing. Likewise, "Distant Memory Lane" is worth more than several listens itself; as it certainly embodies that, energized country/Americana roots-rock sound, that Fifth on the Floor has truly honed into a sound all their own.

"We're so trendy we can't even escape ourselves." - #KurtCobain #Nirvana

"I was looking for something a lot heavier, yet melodic at the same time.

Something different from heavy metal,  a different attitude." ~Kurt Cobain (commenting in regards to Nirvana's sound)
