It is also worth noting that while this was a debut cover of the song, it wasn't Umphrey's first time covering Sturgill Simpson. While technically, perhaps better categorized as more of a "nod". On 10/21/16 at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, PA, the band played ua semi irregular cover of the Nirvana song "In Bloom", but rather then their usual Nirvans take, they opted for a take on the song "in the style of  Sturgill Simpson'". Moon Taxi adds 'Tacky XMAS Show' in Birmingham; Prep for NYE in Nashville

Fresh off the road from a five night (12/05 - 12/09) run up through the East Coast in support of Matisyahu and his 5th annual Festival of Light Tour. Moon Taxi, the Nashville Tenn. rock band, released one more year end news update of 2010 this evening. As they announced the addition of one more show for this month, as well as finalized details of, and including the supporting acts for their NYE Show.
