Fifth on the Floor - Distant Memory Lane (Official Video)

The Lexington, KY based band Fifth on the Floor,
publicly invited fans, via the band's twitter feed (@FifthontheFloor), to head over to YouTube and view the new official music video for song,"Distant Memory Lane", from the album "Dark and Bloody Ground."

The video, directed by Blake Judd, edited by Jacob Ennis, and produced by JuddFilms and Tuckywood Productions, was filmed at various sites in and near Lexington, Kentucky, including The Green Lantern. is definitely worth a viewing. Likewise, "Distant Memory Lane" is worth more than several listens itself; as it certainly embodies that, energized country/Americana roots-rock sound, that Fifth on the Floor has truly honed into a sound all their own.

"Headtronics is an electronic project from DJ Logic (Medeski, Martin and Wood; John Popper Project), Steve Molitz (Particle; Phil Lesh and Friends) and local bass prodigy Freekbass (Bootsy Collins; Buckethead) that has already received national attention though the artists have only performed a very limited number of dates.

The trio was birthed from a collaborative effort during last summer's Universal Church of Love and Music Funk Festival in PA. Afterward, Freekbass said, “It turned out to be one of those magical musical moments, so we decided to play some full shows together.” The accolades and influences of the individual artists of Headtronics ranges from funk, to rock and roll, to hip-hop, but together Logic, Molitz and Freekbass create electronic funk that appeals to fans of all genres. Sam Bush Band treats Lexington to More than Just a Free Show

 The Sam Bush Band took the stage Friday evening, October 8th, 2010, at the Courthouse Plaza in Lexington, KY performing as part of the city's Spotlight Lexington which coincided withThe Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The crowd greeted the designated "Father of Newgrass," and Kentucky Music Hall of Fame member, with a roaring welcome. Without hesitation, the show was under way as Bush, backed by a four piece band - banjoist Scott Vestal, guitarist Stephen Mougin, drummer Chris Brown and bassist Todd Parks, got right down to business and into the jams. The first hour was spent visiting hits, old and new, with "Ridin' That Bluegrass Train", "Blue Mountain", and even threw in a cover of Bob Marley's "One Love" for crowd pleasing good measure.
